Valeria Nahyr Quiñones

Born in Mayagüez and raised in the coastal town of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Valeria Nahyr blends her surroundings, dreams, and science to create vibrant and intimate visual universes.

Her artistic journey began at the age of four, nurtured by curiosity, music, and the ocean. Encouraged early on by her grandmother, Valeria’s creative path has been deeply shaped by introspection, coastal living, and a unique emotional depth.

Now a Biology student at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez, she merges her academic knowledge with abstraction, figuration, and bold chromatic expression. Her work reflects the colorful vitality of the Caribbean, the contrast between the internal and external, and the dynamic nature of the creative soul.
