Michelle Díaz Bentran is an artist by nature, born in New York but Puerto Rican at heart, much like the coquí. She has received both formal and informal education in the arts. While acrylic is her preferred medium, her practice is not limited to it.
Her style is defined by representational realism. Through her work, she seeks to capture each subject and preserve it in a singular moment in time, allowing it to live on indefinitely.
