Collection: Osvaldo Rodríguez Ruiz

Osvaldo Rodríguez Ruiz (b. 1998, Patillas, Puerto Rico) is a visual artist who explores autobiographical moments and personal reflection through manifestations of his inner child, addressing themes of introspection. His work combines traditional techniques, primarily oil painting, with digital illustration and animation to create vibrant and evocative pieces that reflect on change and the sense of belonging.

Distinguished by his use of primary colors and playful yet profound symbolism, his art invites viewers into a carefully constructed world that preserves the sincerity and emotional honesty of childhood. In 2023, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Animation, magna cum laude, from Atlantic University in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.

Among the exhibitions in which he has participated are Desde el corazón at Galería Cundeamor, Vieques, Puerto Rico (2025); Historias detrás de una taza at Café Quinto Orden, Puerto Rico Convention Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico (2025); MIJOS at Museo de Arte Sacro, Durango, Mexico (2025); … Y Bueno Que Tá at Me.seum Art Gallery, Ponce, Puerto Rico (2025); Lançe at Museu de Arte Brasileira (MAB FAAP), São Paulo, Brazil; and Barrio Adentro at the Museo de Arte y Diseño de Miramar, Puerto Rico.

He has also participated in international residencies including Sierra Madre International Artist Residency in Durango, Mexico (2025), Residencia Artística FAAP in São Paulo, Brazil (2025), and Everwood Farmstead Artist Retreat in Wisconsin, United States (2026).
